The Sacred Yogini Project is a yoga movement dedicated to empowering female survivors of trauma to reclaim their bodies & minds through the healing practice of Yoga.
Through offering certified Trauma-Sensitive Yoga classes, the main focus is for women to feel that they are in control of their own bodies. The teacher is there to create a safe, professional, supportive environment for students.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is one way to find comfort and safety once again in your own body. This practice can help to calm fear and anxiety, to quiet repetitive thoughts, and to support self-regulation tools through: Moving, Stretching, Breathing, & Resting.
